You're Beautiful

 Hi Crafters!   

Today I would like to introduce our new Hettie Hedgehog design,  Hettie's Sunflower Friend, which is a ladybug of course!

I'm usually always making cards, but thought I would make a cute little hanging sign, not sure what to call it, more like a picture of sorts... lol... well you get the idea.

To make this cute creation, I used a basic thin cardboard for the backing.  Red dot paper from Hobby Lobby

Blue criss cross design paper from Hobby Lobby

Printed my outlined image onto lightweight card stock,  I used a combination of Tri-Blend Spectrum noir markers and Prismacolor pencils to color in the image.

After the image was to my liking,  I added in the clouds, using Cloud stencil from Paper Roses, which can be found @ Scrapbook.com

Embellishments -  red & white buttons from my stash

The sentiment - Close To My Heart

Yellow ribbon - Cindy's Laces (Lighthouse stop n shop)

Hello crafters!    Today I would like to share with you my mixed media card.   I created it using these ingredients:

Scalloped card base - my stash

Background paper is 49 and Market - from Scrapbook.com 

The flowers are from - 49 and Market (Laser cut shapes) and from Tim Holtz Ephemera Pack called Field Notes

I buy the 49 and Market on Scrapbook.com as they have much to offer.

Also Tim Holtz ephemera was purchased from Hobby Lobby.

And the antique lace is from Cindy's Laces her shop can be found on FB.

I made this card for the Festive Friday's group that's on Outlawz.   There is a challenge going on now!

Here's how I made this card: 

The snowflake design was made by using a Diamond Snowflakes Stencil by Altenew and a Gelli Plate to get the desired effect.

The bling is from Hobby Lobby, as is the card stock.

Distress Oxide in Stormy Sky and Salty Ocean is the ink for the background.   I really like how it turned out.  :)

The image was colored in using Prismacolor Pencils.

And glitter for the "ice" is from a glitter pen found at Close To My Heart.

Stickles in Frosted Lace was used to create the snowflake dots.

Treats for the Sweet Tooth

I  won't lie, I have a sweet tooth for sure!   With the holidays coming up around the corner, it's going to be difficult not to whip up something yummy.    Speaking of "treats", here's an Image that is sure to please... and without those pesky calories!     This Image is called:  Holiday Yum.

Materials used:  Junk mail flyer for the base of the tag

Lilac flat lace; design papers from my stash, flowers from Petaloo;  ribbons from my stash

I used: Prismacolor Pencils to color in my image.

Sweet lil' Vintage

 Greetings!      I haven't been crafting very much lately, just couldn't seem to find any inspiration.   Well,  we've been getting tons of those junk flyers in the mail lately, due to the upcoming election.   And as much as I wanted to tear them up and just toss away... another thought came to me, why not use them for a project.   My creative juices started to flow.    Here's what I made...

I started out with a 10 x 5 inch junk mail flyer, and added pieces of vintage papers to collage.  Brushed on mod podge to seal the papers together, went around the edges with distress oxide, in vintage photo.  Added in some lace here and there, and beads across the bottom.   This really makes a cute wall hanging for my craft room.  Almost forgot to mention, this is: 6 x 5 inches.   I call this my Sweet lil' Vintage project.  

I wouldn't be a bit surprised, if most of my followers have moved on to greener pastures,  but, I am going to try my best to keep this blog updated.  Believe it or not.   :)
